Letters
Instructions
Below you will find a postcard, half page letter, and full page letter to mail to your elected officials. If any of them speak to you, feel free to download, fill in the areas that need filling, print, sign, and send. You can also find and contribute more options for letters here. If none of the example letters speak to you, you are more than welcome to alter them to fit your own voice or to write your own letter. The most important thing is that you simply mail it and keep those mailboxes full. | Hand written or Postcards = best Letters can obviously hold more information, but they take about three weeks to get through the mail processing system for government officials. Postcards are processed and received more quickly, in about a week. Also, congressional staffers have said that anything hand written usually gets "counted" as if it represented you and many more people who didn't take the time to write. Email a last option Though email information is provided, we strongly urge that everyone send physical mail. Emails stand a far greater chance of being ignored or falling into junkmail folders. But, if you cannot send physical mail, an email is most certainly better than nothing. |
